Institute for Natural Philosophy Headquarters
The Institute for Natural Philosophy is the orchestrator, presenter, operator, and owner of the Knoxville Global Heritage Initiative which includes the International Cultural Center.
The 2,000 square feet headquarters for the Institute for Natural Philosophy will be open to the public during normal business hours and be located in the International Cultural Center. It will be the official permanent physical location and mailing address for the Institute for Natural Philosophy. It will have a separate public entrance and include a staffed public lobby area with an information station and wall board that will be open during normal business hours Monday – Friday. There will be a panic button to directly alert the on-site security. It will contain an electronic digital kiosk for providing information, making reservations, and buying tickets to public events. Private areas will include three offices (330, 244 and 180 square feet each), a small 80 square feet audio/visual recording booth with a 88 square feet control room and a 225 square feet conference/meeting room that will seat 18 people. These private areas will be open to members of the Institute for Natural Philosophy to use for free following a usage policy that includes a scheduling procedure. It also includes a private unisex restroom and three secured storage areas.
